The artist behind the successful Atlanta Beltline Lantern Parade and the Hilton Head Island Lantern Parade will exhibit at the Coastal Discovery Museum from October 22, 2021 through January 9, 2022.  Chantelle Rytter has been creating joy through her art in communities for 20 years.  On display will be a full spectrum of her work, including one-of-a-kind lanterns, puppets, drawings, sketchbooks, photographs, and other ephemera.  

An opening reception will be held on Thursday, October 21 from 5:30-7:30 pm.at the museum.

 

Gallery hours are Monday through Saturday from 9-4:30 and Sunday from 11-3.

Lantern making workshops will be held with kits created by Rytter on November 10 (sea Turtles) and Novemebr 11 (Butterflies) at 5 pm.  Cost is $40 per lantern kit.  Reservations are required by calling 843-589-6767 ext. 223.
