We've all been cooped up for too long and now it's time to get out and be part of a 5K/10K walk and run to assist families, caregivers, and those diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease and Dementia.
Coming up on September 18, 2021 Memory Matters is hosting a 5K/10K along the beautiful running trails adjacent to New Riverside Road in Bluffton. The start and finish line will be located at May River High School, 601 New Riverside Road. The cost is $30 for individuals and $25 for students and military members.
The 10K will begin at 7:45 a.m. and the 5K will begin at 8 a.m.
Through our registration process, you can create your own event page to send friends and family members who can run the race in their hometown if they don't live nearby. This is an event we want everyone to get involved in across the country and world.
"Almost every single person has a story of a loved one affected by Alzheimer's Disease or Dementia. This event will give you a chance to run for that family member or friend fighting the disease or in memory of someone who has succumbed to the disease," said Memory Matters Executive Director Mary Doyle.
Funds raised from this event will go towards the programs and services offered by Memory Matters.
