Page Island Plein Air Excursion with Susan Mayfield

Climb aboard for a plein air painting adventure with Palmetto Bluff October Artist in Residence Susan Mayfield! This workshop will begin at Wilson Landing Marina, where guests will hop aboard an Outside Palmetto Bluff skiff and travel to secluded Page Island for a painting demonstration by Susan, a picnic lunch, and more. Attendees will work alongside Mayfield, receiving guidance and feedback while capturing the distinct beauty of the Lowcountry. Suitable for artists of all skill levels. Pastel supplies will be supplied. Oil and acrylic painters will need to bring their own supplies. Lunch is included. Limited to ten attendees.

Susan Mayfield is an award-winning artist known for using bold color and luminous light in her pastel and oil landscapes. A native South Carolinian and life-long resident of the Lowcountry, she moved to Colorado 15 years ago, splitting her time between life on the Carolina coast and her home in the high mountain desert of Colorado. Currently, she paints and teaches from her studio in the small mountain town of Salida, CO.
