Large Lantern Making Workshop

Local craftsman and lantern artist Doug Lonneman is offering another FREE workshop to demonstrate how he builds his amazing large lanterns that appear in the Lantern Parade each year.

Doug will walk you through each step of the construction to provide helpful information and tips on how to make your own distinct lantern for this year's parade. See actual lanterns and the different methods used to create each one including design choice and layout, main and secondary structure building, lighting installation and execution, exterior covering and mounting and carrier construction.
