Pon Pon Chapel of Ease, or the Old Burnt Church, was a vital part of early South Carolina history. It was an active chapel from 1725 until 1832 but continued as a cemetery for many more decades. This free talk with Dr. Sarah Miller examines some of the people buried in the cemetery both national figures and everyday people. Miller is a Professor of History at USC-Salkehatchie and is the president of the Colleton County Historical and Preservation Society.
