ONDAS - An Initiative to Monitor Marine Diversity

This program will be presented at the Coastal Discovery Museum on January 27 at 2 pm with Dr. Laura May Collado, an integrative marine biologist. ONDAS examines the role of Marine Protected Areas in preserving marine biodiversity and argues the need for novel tools to evaluate their effectiveness. ONDAS is the result of partnerships with local NGOs and governmental agencies to address the impact of changing soundscapes on the presence and acoustic behavior of marine organisms including, cetaceans and fish.
The program is $5 for a virtual viewing only and reservations are required by calling 843-689-6767 ext. 223.
