Harbour Town Golf Links at The Sea Pines Resort
Hilton Head Island, SC

Hilton Head Island is home to one of golf’s greatest traditions and the tradition continues!

Hilton Head Island is a world-class golf destination and the tournament has played host to some of the greatest names in golf. Golf legends like Nicklaus, Palmer, Tiger, and Greg Norman, as well as today’s top golfers from around the globe, have all been challenged by the fairways of the Harbour Town Golf Links. It’s one of the few signature courses where island visitors can truly play where the pros play.

The brainchild of the late Charles Fraser, developer of Sea Pines, the first Heritage Classic golf tournament was held in 1969 as a means of establishing Hilton Head Island as a household name. The tournament took place at the Harbour Town Golf Links, which was newly designed by course architect Pete Dye with assistance from legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus.

Over the past 46 years, the Heritage has grown to be Hilton Head Island’s biggest annual event while pumping more than $96 million into South Carolina’s economy each year.  It is no surprise the RBC Heritage has become one of the most beloved, most respected and most charitable stops on the PGA TOUR. Be a part of this fun and exciting Island tradition!

The RBC Heritage is so much more than a golf tournament. The party lasts through the week as 100,000 spectators line the greens to watch the world’s top golfers! A few things you want to be sure are on your “bucket list” list when you arrive on Hilton Head Island for the RBC Heritage:

· Monday, April 10: Parade and Opening Ceremonies (10 am). The parade begins at the Liberty Oak tree in Harbour Town and marches to the iconic 18th green. The prior year’s winner tees off into the Calibogue Sound in sync with cannon fire.
· Wednesday, April 12: Pro-AM.
· Thursday, April 13: First round begins.
· Friday, April 14: Second round begins.
· Saturday, April 15: PLAID NATION DAY (wear plaid and share your picture using the #plaidnation). Third round begins.
· Sunday, April 16: The final round! Boats lining the Calibogue Sound celebrate the champion with bells, horns and whistles!
