In 2009 the 24th Annual Hilton Head Island Wine & Food Festival mingles an international wine judging and competition with food and wine-related activities. Don’t miss the exciting calendar of events kicked off on February 4th with “Uncork the Festival” and concludes on March 14th with the Public Tasting and Auction—one of the East Coast’s largest outdoor public tasting. “Uncork the Festival”
February 4, 2009, Wednesday

“Uncork the Festival”, Aqua Grille & Lounge 5:30 p.m. $35 per person
Join the HHAHA in kicking off the festival by sharing a memorable wine moment in your lives! Story collection begins Fall 2008 and will continue through the festival. All stories will be considered and shared with local and national media (an anniversary, a new boat, a milestone in your life, a special celebration, etc). Several stories and special bottles will be celebrated at this kick off event.

Great Chefs of the South
March 12, 2009, Thursday

Two Seating Times 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. $99 per person

Chefs with distinction and some notoriety will join out local island chefs on Thursday evening to prepare exquisite meals paired with wine. Contact the restaurant of your choice to make your reservation for this evening. Welcome reception 6:30 p.m. Dinner begins 7:00 p.m.

Grand Wine Tasting

Sea Pines Country Club, Sea Pines Resort
5:30-7:30 p.m. $150 per person
This event showcases wines in a premium category (wines retailing $75 or more) to a select audience of 200 people in a reception setting at the Sea Pines Country Club. Glassware and food tasting are included in the price of admission. Attendees will also have the opportunity on-site to order wine.

Public Wine and Food Tasting
March 14, 2009, Saturday

Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn
12 noon – 4:00 p.m. $40 per person

This event showcases wine and food to an audience of 5,000-7,000 people at on of the East Coast’s Largest Outdoor Public Tasting on the grounds of the Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn. Glassware for attendees is included in the price of admission.
