In 2005, the South Carolina Course Ratings Panel named Jack Nicklaus’ May River championship course “Best New Course” in South Carolina. With a striking layout, which meanders along the river and features fairways made of eco-friendly turf – is it really any wonder?

From beginner to advanced golfers, playing May River is a unique experience. Inviting fairways wind past centuries-old live oaks and gently undulating slopes challenge putting skills. Even the sand in the bunkers is unique; Nicklaus chose sand from Ohio as its angular grain adheres better to sloped surfaces and holds up to coastal weather.
