Gullah Cultural Series artistic advisor, Lavon Stevens, has invited Ahmad Ward, Historic Mitchelville Freedom Park executive director and Bridgette Frazier, founder of the Bluffton Gullah Cultural Heritage Center, to join him in an informative discussion revealing the early church-centered observation and now more broadly culturally recognized celebration of the final enforcement of the Emancipation Proclamation.
