The Perfect Backdrop
Over 20 Hilton Head Island golf courses, including world-famous Harbour Town Golf Links at Sea Pines go from better to best – there are no marginal quality courses. Best of all, the area’s untouched nature and beautiful scenery of grand live oaks and Palmetto trees provide the winning combination that makes Hilton Head Island a top-ranked golf destination in South Carolina.
Many private and public golf courses on Hilton Head Island and the surrounding Lowcountry area continuously welcome many of golf history’s greatest players. Other courses are the result of the skilled handiwork of these same golf greats. However, nothing compares to the tactful creation of our greatest architect: nature. Golf courses are spotted with unspoiled sea marshes, creeks, lagoons and wooded forests and demonstrate Hilton Head Island’s dedication to protecting and preserving its natural environment. As a result, golfers not only tee off on some of the world’s best golf courses; they tee off on some of the most beautiful courses on the entire East Coast.
