Dolphin Head Golf Club

A Gary Player design, it was Player's first course in the Hilton Head area and was open for play in 1974, making it Hilton Head Plantation's first golf course. The layout offers players of all skill levels an exceptional and challenging golf experience.
While the golf course is the main attraction, it is the lasting friendships that make Dolphin Head Golf Club so special. Player's main goal with the construction of the course was to live as many natural features as possible and to use very little landfill to help create a natural look to the golf course. The surrounding natural preserves and the local wildlife were not interrupted as Player tried to create harmony between man and nature, and the result is a very playable and scenic golf course that has become a local favorite.
