About The John A. (Jack) Kolbush Foundation - Established in 2006, in memory of Jack Kolbush, who lost his battle to cancer at the age of five, The Kolbush Foundation is non-profit 501(c)(3) dedicated to serving families of children who have cancer or chronic blood disease with the financial, educational and emotional support necessary to cope with their life threatening illness. The Kolbush Foundation serves children with cancer being treated at the Dwaine & Cynthia Willett Children’s Hospital at Memorial Health and throughout the Lowcountry. The Kolbush Foundation provides family and patient support through; emergency financial assistance, gas cards, prescription assistance, integrative medicine, wellness education, meal cards, holiday assistance and bereavement support. The Kolbush Foundation also supports the Willett Children’s Hospital by working with the Child Life Team to make a child’s hospital visit as kid friendly and normal as possible.
