Hilton Head Entertainment – Hilton Head Museums
Hilton Head Island is typically considered a golf and tennis haven, rather than a culturally rich and diverse vacation experience.
However, the Island's splendid beauty and rich history have inspired a vibrant Hilton Head arts and cultural community. Author John Villani named Hilton Head Island number 22 in his book "The 100 Best Small Art Towns in America," and it's no wonder why.

Hilton Head entertainment consists of a world-class Arts Center that welcomes Broadway-caliber performances to the stage; two local Hilton Head art leagues boast more than 200 talented members; and our superb Hilton Head Orchestra continually features some of the most talented musicians in the world.
From a pottery wheel spinning in Old Town Bluffton to a ballerina pirouetting across a Hilton Head Dance Theater stage, the area offers a dizzying array of culture and arts to explore. Painters, authors, sculptors, actors, dancers and musicians from Hilton Head and Bluffton regularly receive regional and national acclaim for their work.
Of course, the Lowcountry's storied and colorful past is a cornerstone of area culture, and the time-honored tradition of Gullah basket weaving, music and food can be enjoyed at a wide array of area locations. Each February, the Native Islander Gullah Celebration gives locals and visitors alike the opportunity to share in these rich cultural traditions and crafts.
If visiting in the month of May, featured Hilton Head entertainment includes the many BRAVO Arts & Cultural Festival events held throughout the Island area. Plays, orchestral performances, art shows and special events are just some of the many entertaining activities and programs offered during this special time. If you love the arts, the best place to be in May is Hilton Head Island.
