Sample 7-Day Group Tour Itinerary

The following is a sample only, and meant to be representative of the wide array of activities available for groups on Hilton Head Island. Not all activities detailed are available at all times.

Day One
Morning: Welcome Center & Coastal Discovery Museum. The perfect place to begin your introduction to Hilton Head Island.

Afternoon: Discover Hilton Head Island with one of many tours right from the Welcome Center. Professionally trained guides will trace the Island's antebellum roots, the role the Island played in the Civil War and conclude with the Island's modern day development.

Evening: Dine-Around Restaurants. Select a pre-arranged dining list from more than 200 different restaurants.

Day Two
Morning: Lowcountry Garden Tour. Conclude the tour with refreshments in the Main Street Inn's formal gardens.

Afternoon: 4-hour birding cruise expedition sponsored by the Coastal Discovery Museum.

Evening: Broadway Musical at The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Enjoy a delightful performance by one of South Carolina's largest theatre production companies.

Day Three
Morning: Golf Clinics & Instruction. Arrange individual lessons or group clinics at one of the Island's many outstanding golf instructional facilities.

Afternoon: Round of golf. Choose from more than two dozen world-class courses.

Evening: Select one of the areas fabulous dinner theatres. Feast on a lavish buffet dinner all while being entertained without ever leaving your dinner chair.

Day Four
Morning: Beach Tour. One-and-a-half hour tour of the Island's magnificent dune-lined beaches with a trained naturalist.

Afternoon: Dolphin Watch Cruise. Two hour cruise of local waters offers an opportunity to view playful bottlenose dolphins in their natural habitat.

Evening: Dine-Around Restaurants - followed by one of the evening's free concerts offered at different venues throughout the Island.

Day Five
Morning: Art Gallery Tours. A guided tour of a selection of the Island's numerous art galleries—including shopping time or a visit to an artist's workshop.

Afternoon: Free shopping. Enjoy a free afternoon for shopping at more than 200 different shops, specialty boutiques, factory outlet stores and an enclosed mall.

Evening: Perhaps tonight it's a Jazz and dinner at one of the area's jazz clubs. Listen to some of the area's top jazz musicians in intimate club settings.

Day Six
Morning: Gullah Heritage Trail Tours. A two-hour narrated tour tracing the antebellum roots and evolution of the African-American Gullah culture of the Sea Islands.

Afternoon: Penn Center & Chapel of Ease Ruins. Two-hour walking tour of the one of the nation's oldest and most historically significant African-American cultural and educational institutions.

Evening: The night is perfect for a concert featuring storytelling and the music of the Gullah people.

Day Seven
Morning: Enjoy a leisurely guided nature tour that takes participants along secluded, marsh-lined inlets perfect for viewing wildlife. For the stronger at heart, you might try the guided kayak tour and see wildlife even closer.

Afternoon: Museum Lecture/Tea. Sample tea from American Classic Tea, grown in nearby Charleston, with foods prepared by a local caterer.

Evening: The perfect ending to the perfect trip… tonight enjoy a dinner cruise across the Calibogue Sound and up the beautiful creeks and rivers of the Carolina Lowcountry. The island offers elegant sunset dinner cruises aboard air-conditioned cruisers.
