Everyone is invited to this treasure hunt at Bluffton’s Hampton Lake Market Day!

Fresh flowers and plants as well as decorative home and garden treasures will be for sale at Hampton Lake’s Market Day.

Springtime in the Lowcountry is made for being outdoors and when one can combine browsing for fabulous one-of-a-kind finds with a fun festival atmosphere, you’ve got the makings of a sensational Saturday! Here in Bluffton we love our markets – no matter if it’s of the farmer, flea or swap meet variety – packing up the car and heading to the “market” practically guarantees a good time.

Beginning on April 6, Hampton Lake will host their own monthly Market Day from 11 am until 4 pm at their award winning Lakeside Amenity Village along the porch of the Tackle Box gift shop and Boathouse areas. The public is invited to peruse the wares of local vendors, whose offerings will range from produce and fresh baked goods to artwork, jewelry, gifts, home and garden accessories and more. Various raffles will take place throughout Market Day and complimentary mini-boat cruises on the Lake will delight both the young, and the young at heart. It’s a family-friendly atmosphere here at Hampton Lake!

Hampton Lake is located in Bluffton and was named the nation’s “Best Community, 151 Homes and Over,” at the 25th annual Best in American Living Awards by The National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB) and Professional Builder Magazine.

If snagging that “treasure” has you famished, save your appetite for Backwater Bill’s, the community’s private, lakefront restaurant. It’s open for lunch from 11:30 am to 4 pm and 5-8 pm for dinner. With it’=s kitschy atmosphere (lots of nautical accoutrements) this casual restaurant boasts a large menu offering something delicious for everyone. Their prime rib is outstanding as is their version of that Lowcountry classic, shrimp and grits.

“The folks at Hampton Lake really want to make Market Day a Bluffton tradition where shoppers come to see ‘what’s new at the market today!’ never wanting to miss out on that exceptional find,” said Catherine Guscio, Director of Fun at Hampton Lake Community Association. “Our plan is to hold Market Day the first Saturday of every month. We hope to grow with more vendors and of course, lots of shoppers,” she added.

After shopping, take a break over at Backwater Bills – where is the food is as tasty as the view is relaxing!

And if you are involved with a local charity that would like to hold a fundraiser during Market Day please contact Catherine Guscio (cguscio@hamptonlake.com) to get more information. Let’s make Saturday, April 6th your day to discover that special treasure at Hampton Lake’s Market Day.
