Celebrating the holidays in the Lowcountry!

The Holidays are here again on Hilton Head Island. While some Lowcountry traditions revolve around Oyster Shell Wreaths, Oyster Roasts and walks on the beach Christmas Day, there are so many new ways to explore Hilton Head Island and Bluffton. I hope to see you at many of these Lowcountry Holiday events!

Light the Tree on Hilton Head Island!

The Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place on Saturday, November 29th from 3:30-5:30pm at The Arts Center of Coastal Carolina. Caroling by local schools, crafts for the kids, pictures with Santa, plus a performance piece by the cast of “Singin’ In The Rain.” Bring an unwrapped toy for Deep Well.

Sea Pines Lights Up The Harbour!

The annual tradition of the Harbour Town Lights is back at The Sea Pines Resort. Enjoy window shopping, lights and activities with a view of the boats in the harbor starting after Thanksgiving and through New Years Day. There’s many activities going on in Sea Pines for the month of December…and don’t forget about The Sea Pines Resort annual holiday ball drop from the Harbour Town Lighthouse!

Be sure to stop by the Fire Station located at First Presbyterian Church, across from Port Royal Plantation on Hilton Head Island this season for their annual light display. Drive thru and view their impressive display of lights and music. Starts right after Thanksgiving and runs through New Years.

Experience The Magic Of An Annual Tradition!

Shelter Cove Towne Center is pleased to bring back one of Hilton Head’s favorite traditions, The Dove Street Lights. Originally located on Dove Street off North Forest Beach, the annual light display took over the community for an entire month each year. The light display ended a few years ago on Dove Street but has now been resurrected at Shelter Cove Town Center, across from Palmetto Dunes. Enjoy the restaurants and stores as you walk through their lighted display.

Winter Festival for the Kids!

Join The Island Rec Center at Shelter Cove Community Park on Friday, December 5th from 4-8pm for the Winter Wonder Festival. Special appearance by Santa, carnival games, hayrides, bounce houses, food, crafts and more.

Enjoy The Best Parade In The Lowcountry!

Mark your calendar now for The Bluffton Christmas Parade! Held on Saturday, December 6th, this parade winds through downtown Bluffton and is fun for the entire community. Stop by the Promenade for a bloody mary from Captain Woody’s, then make your way to the main streets for festival watching. Parade starts at 10am.

Christmas at Coligny!

Bells and treats will be ringing at Coligny Plaza December 12 and 13th from 4-8pm with caroling and outdoor movies (Christmas Vacation and Elf). Shop local, finding your perfect holiday gifts and then join us in the kiosk area for hot cocoa, local music, crafts and movies. Friday, December 12th will feature volunteers from The Island Rec Center who will be selling goods and wrapping gifts for donations and Saturday, December 13th will have volunteers from The Boys and Girls Club. Caroling will start at 4pm on Saturday with the Ben Williams Mass Choir from Mt. Calvary Missionary Baptist Church with the outdoor Christmas movies around 6pm. Featuring Christmas Vacation on Friday and Elf on Saturday!  Bring your own blankets to stay warm!

Coligny Plaza hosted a special Black Friday event, Friday November 28th this year, featuring free photos with Santa and new this year…register to win back your Christmas Cash!
