Government Affairs
Monitors, researches and reports on legislative issues affecting the business community at local, state and federal levels. This committee meets monthly.
Business Education Partnership
Develops and implements educational programs and Business Education programs. The committee recognizes teachers in southern Beaufort County through the Golden Apple Program and Teacher of the Year program.
Small & Minority Business Council
Provides support for and promotes small and minority business' interests; annually awards the Small Business of the Year at the chamber ball. The Small & Minority Business Council strives to increase exposure of small and multi-ethnic businesses through events and community involvement. This committee meets every other month.
Bluffton-Hardeeville Business Council
The Bluffton-Hardeeville Business Council is comprised of business leaders from the Bluffton and Hardeeville areas. The steering committee, led by Gina Scott of Kellar Williams Realty, meets every other month to receive updates about the two working committees of the council – the Regional Advancement Committee and Toursim & Marketing Committee. See information below regarding the two committees and their chairmen. The council also hosts business luncheons throughout the year focused on relevant topics to the Bluffton/Hardeeville area. The Visitor & Convention Bureau committees are open to all chamber members who operate a business that collects either accommodations tax or admissions tax. The committees include:
